This was the 9th year for the Boquete Blues and Jazz Festival. Every year it is better and better. The parties last for several days before and after the Festival. This year, the kick off was a jam session on Super Bowl Sunday with Andy Egert from Switzerland. His music is like Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn rolled in to one.
We had a mardi gras style parade in Boquete.
Free Concert in Central Park
The actual Festival is in an ampitheater in Valle Escondido but the artists play at various venues around town for several days before, during and after the festival. The artists are all very accessible and love to hang out with everyone.

This was at the Panamonte Garden Party. The Panamonte Hotel has been in Boquete for 100 years.
There was a music art show at the library
This was a jam session at Baru restaurant

One of my favorites was Lil’Ed Williams. This video is not from the festival but it shows what a great artist he is
We’re lucky in Boquete… live music is a weekly event at multiple locations.
The February tour group will get to enjoy Andy Egert. He is in Bocas del Toro now but will be back in Boquete to do a private show for the February tour group on Tuesday evening.
