They rent a large furnished 3-bedroom 2-bath house on 5-acres for $750 and that price includes all utilities. Everything they need is available in Volcan.

You get a lot more for your money in Volcan because it’s is more affordable than Boquete or El Valle.

Volcan has a large public hospital where it cost only $2 to see a doctor (with no health insurance). There is a bilingual school in Volcan that is only $75 a month.
