As a tourist, you can stay in Panama six months. People from most countries in North America or Europe only need a passport to get in to Panama, they do not need to get a Visa. If you are from a different country, please check with us to find out any visa requirements.
Your passport MUST NOT EXPIRE within 6 months of your visit to Panama. Please check the expiration date on your passport now to verify that you have at least six months from the date your tour starts.
If you need to renew your passport and you are in a tight schedule, you can go to a Passport Expeditor. Do a google search for “passport expeditor” close to you. It usually takes 3 days to get your passport renewed this way.
During your flight to Panama, the airline will hand out an Immigration Form and a Customs forms. CLICK HERE TO SEE SAMPLES OF THESE FORMS blank and filled out.
These forms are in tiny print, so be sure to have your glasses handy and a pen to fill out the forms. You should complete these forms while you are on the plane to help expedite the process of getting through Immigration and Customs.
Try to get a seat closer to the front of the plane so you can get to Immigration before the line is too long. Also go to the bathroom on the plane to avoid delays.
When you arrive at Tocumen International Airport in Panama City, you will go directly to Immigration. Have your passport and your immigration form ready to give to the clerk.
Then proceed to Customs. If you checked a bag (which we do not recommend), you will need to get your bag before you can go to Customs. Hand the Customs agent your Customs Form then put your luggage and personal bags on the conveyor belt. Walk to the other side of the conveyor belt to retrieve your luggage then leave the secure area.
You will now be in the lobby of the airport ( before going outside), GO LEFT ( away from the crowds) to the Car Rental area. There, under the Car Rental sign, you will see our driver holding a Red, White and Blue sign with the Panama flag that says Panama Relocation Tours.
Remember to bring your passport to Panama. The airline in your country will not let you on the airplane unless you show it at check in.
