Diane Shares Her Reasons WHY PANAMA

I noticed Diane’s Facebook post about “Why Panama” and thought you would all like to hear her reasons during a live stream. Diane purchased the Online Panama Relocation Guide to help her have a hassle-free move to Panama.

You can see her interview at the end of this article. This is what Diane posted on Facebook about Why Panama:

WHY PANAMA?

I am often asked why did you move to Panama? Have you been there before? Do you have friends or relatives there? The answer to the previous two questions are no I have not physically been here before . And I don’t or didn’t have friends or any relatives here when I initiated my move.

However, My why ! First I will list the tangible reasons.

Panama uses the American dollar therefore no currency exchange.

Panama has direct flights to and from US (4-5 hour flight from the east coast); therefore ease of access.

Panama offers a simple affordable Visa program called the pensionado visa (ask google for more details).

Panama has great affordable medical care and state of the art medical facilities (some even Hopkins affiliated ). This was extremely important for me as some of you may be aware of my health challenges (simply opportunities to grow 😉).

And last but not least Panama 🇵🇦 is affordable for me. I live in Panama City in an area called El Cangejo at an apartment suite & hotel. I have a one bedroom apartment with a view of the city skyline and a glimpse 😂 of the Panama Canal for a fraction of the cost of living in the US.

Also You can eat well on less than $10/day at any small Panamanian mom/ pop restaurant. We call them Fonda’s (I probably spelled it wrong 😑) but you get the point. And even though I spend more money technically here, than in the USA, I receive soo much more value for my dollar 😍.

Now those were just some of the tangible benefits.

However the intangibles benefits are priceless!

PEACE AND TRANQUILITY! They have a saying here in Panama, “tranquilo” meaning no worries. In general the Panamanian people are very friendly and gracious. They greet you with a smile and Buenos Dias always! The vibrational set point of the culture is relaxed and chilled! in the words of Bob Marley, “don’t worry be happy “. 😊 That is the energy of the collective consciousness here in Panama.

And then there is the convenience of urban living. I am able to walk to the Farmacia (pharmacy) and tiendas ( local stores). In the US I had to get in the car to access my needs ie: the gym, pharmacy, grocery store etc. Here in Panama It is a 20 minute walk from my building to the Cintra Costera ( the walking promenade by the water).

In Panama City I don’t need a car. Uber is readily accessible and the cost is nominal. Most places that I’ve been to, the ride was $5 or less 😉. And that’s from one side of town to the other.

And lastly, most important for me, safety! In general, most (not all) neighborhoods in Panama City 🇵🇦 are safe and walkable by day or night.

So living in Panama has improved my living standards and made manifest my vision and intention that I held for my life.

Yesss ! I now have a dedicated chef service (meal plan included with my rental); dedicated driver (Uber on demand 😊) dedicated maid service (included with my rental) all while living in a hotel complete with pool, gym, restaurant and bar at my convenience. I feel like the Jeffersons 🤣😂🤣!

Why Panama? Because living in Panama supports the life I have always dreamed of. I am truly living my best life 💕

What an incredible idea! I wonder if any of the Hotels allow pets? If so, this could be a perfect first option for a “soft landing” in Panama.

    Very Intrigued,
    Kimberly

Kimberly, some apartment hotels allow pets but it will probably require an additional deposit. In the Online Panama Relocation Guide, we have a list of 20 apartment hotels in Panama City with a link to their website.

Please let me know if you would be able to share what the price range would be for the hotel apartment rentals in the Panama City area. I understand that there are variables (# months etc) to consider but I was trying to get some sort of ballpark estimate if possible. Thanks
