Our 6-day, 7-night Panama Relocation Tours® are a great way to get a thorough overview of the most popular places to live in Panama and learn everything you need to know for a smooth relocation.
But if you’ve already done a lot of research and have a “shortlist” of places you are considering relocating to, or if you have mobility issues, a Private Tour may be better for you.
A Private Panama Relocation Tour® is a 1-2-3-4 day tour in a specific town/area. A Private Tour is fully customized to do and see the things you are most interested in. A Private Tour will only have you or your family and the Private Tour instructor.
If our all-inclusive 7-night Panama Relocation Tours are sold out on the dates you prefer, you have two options:
1. Get on the BackUp List to be notified of an opening.
2. Go on a Private Tour of the area(s) you are most interested in.
Our fully customized Private Tours let you focus exclusively on the areas that interest you most and skip the rest.
Private Tours are just $250–$350 per day for up to two people!
Your tour includes:
- An experienced Private Tour Instructor
- Ground transportation during the tour
- A customized itinerary based on your needs
- Visits to neighborhoods, shopping areas, medical facilities, pharmacy, and local attractions
- Rental showings that fit your budget
- Lunch
- Hotels are not included, but we negotiated substantial discounts at a variety of places so “you can decide” where you want to stay. How about an all-inclusive resort for $85 a night!?
Your Private Tour Guide lives in the area and will share the real advantages and disadvantages of living there—without sugar-coating. No sales pitches.
Popular Three-Four Day Itinerary Options:
In each area, explore popular neighborhoods, shopping, healthcare, transportation, rentals, and everyday life there. Meet expats who live there!
Your total cost for a 4-day Private Tour is about $1100-$1500 for up to two people, including the tour, hotels, meals, and ground transportation. You can reduce your costs by going on a 3-day tour only. The price difference depends on your itinerary and which hotel you select.

Day 1: Panama City Private Tour
Day 2 & 3: Pacific Beach Areas Private Tour
Explore Coronado, Gorgona, Playa Caracol, San Carlos, Santa Clara, Rio Hato, and other nearby communities based on your interests. (optional – stay at an all-inclusive resort next to the Pacific Ocean)
Optional: Day 4: El Valle de Anton or Los Altos de Cerro Azul
(If you want to focus on golf communities, we have tour guides who golf every day and can give you the “inside scoop” on golfing in Panama.)
⭐ Azuero: More Affordable Beach Communities
(50% Less than Pacific Beach Areas)
Day 1: Chitre and Beach Communities Nearby
Day 2: Las Tablas and beach communities nearby
Day 3: Pedasi
Optional Day 4: Playa Venao and surrounding area.
Venao is more remote and more expensive but has amazing beaches.

Optional Day 4: David – even if you don’t live in David, you will probably go there for shopping and larger hospitals — get familiar with the area.

Day 1: Explore Bocas Town, Isla Colón, and popular beach areas

Once confirmed, the tour guide will call to learn what your priorities are and make suggestions, then customize the experience around your lifestyle, priorities, and budget.
We have several Private Tour Guides in each area! So, one is sure to be available on the dates you prefer.
Private Tours are available throughout Panama and are ideal when our group tours are sold out, you prefer not to travel with a group, or you want to focus on specific areas only.

We booked a private tour around the first week in September, and so glad we used the PRT recommended private guide. From helping us set things up before our tour, offering excellent advice to make the process easier for us, listening to our wants and needs, and then setting up the all-day tour based upon those items, she was invaluable in showing us what we needed to see. She picked us up at our hotel, talked to us about what the day would entail, and then navigated us through the sometimes rough streets of Panama, the Nueva Gorgona area specifically, without a hitch. Her Spanish was excellent in talking to the locals and getting us what we wanted. Jackie should be proud to have her as part of her team; she was invaluable in making our experience as educational and enjoyable as it could have been. She bought us a delicious lunch, showed us how to gas up a car (which is different from in the States), and took us to a pharmacy to help us purchase something over the counter that would have required a prescription back in the States. We pummeled her with questions while driving, and she was able to answer every one of them. We visited several condo units, a house, two grocery stores, an urgent care facility, and a hospital, and much more. Our private tour guide is a beautiful young woman, full of energy and inside information as to the Panamanian culture. We highly recommend her services if visiting the Coronado area. You will not be disappointed.
