Today I went to my favorite beauty salon to get a mani-pedi before I fly to Panama City tomorrow to start the May tour. Their regular price is $15 for a mani-pedi. It’s only $11 on Friday. But the lady who does manicures and pedicures did not come in today because she is not feeling well.
So, I went to another favorite salon. They do a really good job but they charge $25. They have a fancy massage chair to sit in in while your feet are in a whirlpool soak. They also have a better selection of nail colors. They told me to come back in 30 minutes.
So I went to the bank to sign some paperwork. Then I decided to go to the doctor because my right eye has been red and itchy. Five minutes and $12 later, (regular price, not a co-pay)I walked out with a prescription. Then I went to the pharmacy to get the eye drops. The regular price was $17 but with my pensionado discount I only paid $13.
Can you get in and out of the doctor that fast?
I drove back to the salon and got there 5 minutes before my appointment.
I got a lot marked off my list in less than 30 minutes!
One of the many nice things about living in a small town, 25,000 population, is that you can get around and get things done much faster.
Here’s another report:
Heather and David came on a Panama Relocation Tour in October 2015. They recently moved to the Coronado area with their 4 children. I received this Whatsapp message from Heather:
So just wanted to let you know. Not sure if you saw my post but Monday David went to the doctor for some meds for severe pain ( he has a torn ligament in his shoulder and has tennis elbow) he just wanted some pain relief. For a cortisone shot and a dr visit was 41.00. I asked the doc if I came back if I could schedule a shot for my plantar fasciitis he reached over and got his script pad out and wrote me a script for pain meds. We went to the farmacia and paid 32.00 for both scripts. It is the first time in 8 months I woke up pain free!!!just thought I would share the story for you to pass along
